The Acorn is new regular bulletin for growing businesses in Argyll & Bute. Johnny Noble, in whose memory the Trust was set up in 2004, was fond of saying that stout oaks grew from small acorns.
The Sessile Oak whose acorns are pictured on our bulletins was known in Gaelic as Rìgh na Coille ‘the king of the forest’. It represented the very best characteristics of human beings – strong, tall, durable and providing protection under its canopy.
